Degree

The degree is primarily for Western Australian school leavers who have completed Year 12 or equivalent; a small number of places exist for non-school leavers (Curtin course switchers and graduates), assessed via a notional ATAR of at least 92.

  • Chemistry ATAR (essential subject)
  • Desirable: Mathematics Methods/Specialist/Applications ATAR or Human Biology/Biology ATAR
  • UCAT ANZ
  • Casper Test
  • English competency (WACE ATAR English scaled score of at least 50, or accepted equivalent/IELTS)

GPA

Undergraduate (school-leaver) entry program; no graduate-entry stream. Non-school leavers assessed via a notional ATAR of at least 92.

MCAT

No MCATNo dedicated North American route; US/Canadian applicants apply as international students and must sit UCAT ANZ and Casper like other international applicants; no MCAT acceptance found.

How selection works

Applicants are ranked for interview by a weighted sum of academic merit (ATAR/notional ATAR/Course Weighted Average, 35%), Casper score (35%) and UCAT ANZ score (30%); top-ranked applicants from each pathway are invited to an MMI; final offers are ranked on ATAR/equivalent, UCAT score and MMI score.
