MCAT

MCAT minimums onlyWritten within 5 years before the October 1, 2026 deadline and before the deadline; only the most recent attempt is considered.MCAT is not used competitively: the minimum is 125 in each section with an allowance of 124 in one section, recorded in the pools as a 124 floor per section because the schema cannot express the one-section allowance.

How selection works

Applicants who meet the GPA minimum, the MCAT threshold (125 in each section, one 124 allowed) and the prerequisites go to a file review of essays, ABS and references against four clusters (Professional; Communicator/Collaborator/Leader; Advocate; Scholar), with credit for graduate work; interview invitations are based on file-review scores, and the interview is the final stage before a ranked wait list. GPA is a single unweighted average across all full-time years (the weighted GPA was discontinued from 2022–23).

Where official sources disagree

  • classSize: U of T's OMSAS guide page lists 208 St. George + 55 Mississauga + 40 Scarborough (303) for fall 2027 and AFMC 2027 says 303 domestic seats plus 2 supernumerary, but the OMSAS Program Requirements Overview gives a 2027 target class size of 289.
  • tuition: U of T's St. George totals (CAD 25,416.88 Ontario / 29,836.88 non-Ontario) do not equal the listed tuition plus incidental and ancillary fees (23,550 + 2,326.88 = 25,876.88).
  • stats.applicants: U of T admission statistics say 4,870 applications; the OMSAS overview lists 4,871 applicants for 2026.
  • requirements.gpa: Competitive GPA for graduate applicants is 3.7 on the U of T site but 3.6 in the OMSAS guide.
  • timeline.Interviews: AFMC 2027 gives February and March 2027; the OMSAS overview says February to April.
  • timeline.Fee waiver application deadline: OMSAS Key Dates gives August 22, 2026 (11:59 pm ET); the Queen's admissions page says the Ontario fee waiver program closed August 21, 2026 at 11:59 pm ET.
