How selection works

Academic achievement and UCAT (decile) combine 3:1 into an Exeter Score for Direct School Leavers; GAMSAT scores convert to an Exeter Score via a lookup table for Non-Direct School Leavers/graduates. Highest-ranked Home applicants are invited to interview (approx. 800 UCAT-route, approx. 700 GAMSAT-route); international applicants are selected against a separate quota/cut-off (approx. 30 interview places for 10 offer places). All shortlisted candidates sit an MMI; offers go to the top-ranked interview performers, with the UCAT/GAMSAT score used again as a tiebreaker if needed.
