How selection works
Accepts non-Puerto Rico residents as non-resident students at higher tuition. Residency is determined by the AMCAS 'Legal Residence State'; anyone with legal residence outside Puerto Rico is classified non-resident with no possibility of reclassification during enrollment. No stated admissions preference beyond the resident/non-resident differentiation 'for their admission process and study costs'. Full bilingual Spanish/English fluency required.

Where official sources disagree
- requirements.mcat.minimum: The admissions page says only MCAT scores of 494 or above are considered; the Institutional Catalog 2025-2030 (amended March 2026, p. 26) says 'A minimum score of 495 is required.' The catalog's 495 is used as the dated, more recent figure.
- requirements.prerequisites: The 2025-2030 catalog (p. 25) adds Biochemistry 3, Genetics 3 and Molecular and Cell Biology 3 credits as required coursework, which the admissions page lists as recommended.
