How selection works
Strong preference for Florida residents; 'accepts very few out-of-state applicants (usually fewer than 10 per class).' Except under rare circumstances, out-of-state applicants are considered only if their county of residence is geographically contiguous with Florida or they demonstrate significant ties to Florida (e.g. attended college in Florida, former Florida resident, close relatives in Florida).
